Robillard’s website describes him as “a one-man cheering section for the blues, in all its forms and permutations.” Robillard has worked with a long list of fellow musicians, released 11 solo albums, and has been named Best Blues Guitarist at the Blues Music Awards four years out of five. His career has spanned nearly five decades and several genres, from blues to swing jazz to rockabilly. In 1967 he started Roomful of Blues, and in 1990, he replaced Jimmie Vaughan as guitarist for the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
