On the webs you can find a Wall Street Journal video that includes scenes of then-13-year-old (now 17-year-old) violinist Anna Lee performing with From the Top’s Christopher O’Riley, and then being photographed for the cover of WSJ magazine. She’s a ferocious virtuoso with her instrument, and a cheerful kid with the photographer and interviewer.
“I’m used to the big hall,” she tells the interviewer. “I’m used to doing this,” she deadpans, before breaking into laughter.”
Lee, who made her debut with the New York Philharmonic two years ago, brings her artistry to the College of Saint Rose’s Picotte Recital Hall this Sunday evening, when she will perform with pianist Robert Koenig.
Anna Lee will perform Sunday (Jan. 27) at 7:30 PM at the Picotte Recital Hall (Massry Center for the Arts, 1002 Madison Ave., Albany). Tickets are $25. For more info, call 337-4871.
