Pianist Yefim Bronfman (pictured left) will make a return appearance with Maestro David Alan Miller and the Albany Symphony this weekend, playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 (“Emperor”) on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon in Troy.

The concert will also feature Kabir Padavali, by the ASO’s 2012-13 mentor-composer Christopher Rouse and featuring soprano Talise Trevigne, a work Miller describes in the concert notes as an “exotic, sensual masterpiece.” Filling out the program will be Zoltan Kodaly’s Dances of Galanta.

The Albany Symphony Orchestra will perform Saturday (Feb. 9) at 7:30 PM and Sunday (Feb. 10) at 3 PM at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. According to the ASO, ticket availability for both concerts is “very limited,” so call 465-4755 for ticket prices and info.
