Lewis Black

by The Staff on March 20, 2013

We’d tell you that Lewis Black is pissed off, but you already know that. In fact, it’s the whole point to his epic disquisitions on what’s wrong with politics, society . . . everything.

Black’s latest show is called The Rant Is Due, and he’s bringing it to Albany Friday night.

A reviewer for the Grand Rapids (Mich.) Press, in a wildly positive review of a performance a few weeks ago, put his finger on the rage-fueled comedian’s aesthetic:  “Black attacks an issue with the accuracy and intensity of a laser. Naturally, anytime a laser focuses on anything for too long, it heats up and explodes.” And he explodes hilariously, we might add.

Lewis Black will perform tomorrow (Friday, March 22) at 8 PM at the Palace Theatre (19 Clinton Ave., Albany). Tickets are $29.50-$55.50. For more info, call 465-3334. For tickets, call (800) 745-3000.
