Photography Now 2013

by The Staff on April 10, 2013

One of the most exciting (and prestigious) photography shows in the region opens this weekend: Photography Now at the Center for Photography at Woodstock.

Curated by Time magazine’s photo director Kira Pollack, the show will include cutting-edge work by Noah Addis, Beth Chucker, Alinka Echeverria, Ayala Gazit, Gary Grenell, Robin Schwartz, Ilona Szwarc and Samantha VanDeman. Pictured is Schwartz’ Paris Greyhounds (2010).

Also opening at the CPW this weekend is Jeff Jacobson: The Last Roll, in which the photographer explores the unhappy coincidence of being diagnosed with a serious illness at the same time Kodak announced it would discontinue his “beloved” Kodachrome film stock.

Photography Now 2013 and Jeff Jacobson: The Last Roll open Saturday (April 13) with a joint reception from 5 to 7 PM at the Center for Photography at Woodstock (59 Tinker St., Woodstock). The two exhibits will remain on view through June 16. For more info, call (845) 679-9957.
