Putnam Den, Sunday

Louisiana-born singer of all things thrashy and sludgey, Dax Riggs, makes a stop at Saratoga’s Putnam Den on Sunday to sing heartfelt songs of kindness to fellow man. Well, probably not those types of songs, but the former Acid Bath frontman will deliver a style of music that his Web site says, “sounds like voodoo, feels like redemption, and puts off heat like a burning oil rig.” Besides offering us more scorching heat, expect Riggs to play songs off his 2010 album Say Goodnight to the World. Joining what the Putnam Den is billing as part of their Heavy Heavy Sunday is Saratoga’s own Skeletons in the Piano and Orphan Legs. (June 30, 6:30 PM, $10, 63A Putnam St., Saratoga Springs, 584-8066)
