You know you’ve made it when your face is on the wrapper of an artisan chocolate bar. Grace Under Fire is the line of red-pepper-infused dark chocolate produced by Lake Champlain Chocolates in honor of Vermont’s biggest export: Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
The past few years have seen the band climb from regional celebrity to full-blown national touring phenomenon, and 2012’s The Lion the Beast the Beat debuted on Billboard’s Top 20 thanks to writing credits from the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and guest vocal spots by Kenny Chesney and Willie Nelson. Maybe you’ve heard the single “Stars”; wait, of course you have.
The band will help themselves to some Belgian beer on Thursday along with Alpenglow and JD McPherson.
Grace Potter and the Nocturnals will play Brewery Ommegang (656 County Highway 33, Cooperstown) tonight (Thursday, July 25) at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $40. Call 607-544-1800 for more info.
