Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival

by Metroland Staff on September 4, 2013

Labor Day has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean we have to give up on the outdoor music season just yet. The last event on the calendar for Jennings Landing (formerly Albany Riverfront Park) is also one of its biggest. Headlining this year’s jazz festival is pianist/vocalist Oleta Adams, a four-time Grammy nominee. Seven-string guitar wizard Charlie Hunter is the other national headliner and will be joined by locals the Arch Stanton Quartet and Sensemaya. Kicking things off will be the winner of the Downtown Albany Jazz Fest Competition. (Sept. 7, 1 PM, free, Corning Preserve, Albany, 434-2032)
