Engelbert Humperdinck

by The Staff on October 3, 2013

Proctors, Wednesday

This Humperdinck may not be composing for orchestras, but his career has likely obscured that of the 19th century German composer from whom he took his stage name. Engelbert has been in the business for almost six decades and he hasn’t lost a step, bringing his same energy and charisma to the stage, and still taking time out for a wardrobe change (or two). He has many songs to his name, but they all pretty much revolve around love. The man isn’t known as the “King of Romance” for nothing. Don’t forget to bring braces for those weak knees you’re bound to get. (Oct. 9, 8 PM, $20-65, 432 State St., Schenectady, 346-6204)
