Even before becoming a contestant on The Voice, Judith Hill had performed in her fair share of sold-out arenas. After backing artists such as Elton John and Stevie Wonder, Hill was slated as a backup vocalist for Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour. When the tour was canceled following Jackson’s death, Hill performed, along with the rest of the tour’s cast, at the King of Pop’s memorial service.
Moving toward a solo career, Hill auditioned for the fourth season of The Voice, joining Maroon 5 frontman and show judge Adam Levine’s team. After an impressive run, Hill was eliminated after her Top 8 performance on the show. Not letting the rejection stop her, Hill signed with Sony and joined singer Josh Groban this past fall, opening for his In the Round tour. She is currently working on her debut album.
Judith Hill will play Club Helsinki (405 Columbia St., Hudson) tomorrow (Friday, Dec. 13) at 9 PM. Tickets are $35. For more info, call 828-4800.
