Rosanne Cash

by The Staff on December 18, 2013

POSTPONED: “Due to the illness of a close member of Rosanne’s family, the performance has to be rescheduled.” says the Music Hall’s Executive Director, Jon Elbaum. “I know Rosanne is looking forward to performing at the Music Hall and is working with us to schedule a new date. Many people were excited about this performance and the Coalition worked very hard to make it a success. We wish good health to her family and are confident Rosanne’s fans will not regret the wait.”

Following 1998’s Super Hits, Rosanne Cash released The Very Best of Rosanne Cash in 2005 only to follow it up in 2011 with The Essential Rosanne Cash. So what are we to expect of the country-music-pedigreed singer songwriter in 2013? Maybe something like . . . The Purest, Most-Nourishing and Timeless Distillation of the Authentic Rosanne Cash.

Actually, the 58-year-old daughter of Johnny Cash is simply coming through town on a humble holiday tour to benefit the Capital Region Coalition to End Homelessness. Those super hits will be all she’ll need—along with Grammy-winning husband-guitar player John Leventhal. With 30 years of material, there will be plenty of essentials to pick from.

Rosanne Cash plays the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall (2nd and State streets, Troy) tonight (Thursday, Dec. 19) at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $28-$39. Call 273-0038 for more info.
