David Miller: Mapping the Mind

This exhibit of paintings by former Skidmore College professor David Miller is, according to the exhibit notes, about “the phenomenon of time and how it relates to gravity. . . . Whimsical shapes, marks and colors express visual, emotional, sociological or text-based events, working both subconsciously and consciously. The resulting chaos becomes a visual fantasy much like a broken puzzle.”

Pictured is The Toys I Never Had.

David Miller: Mapping the Mind opens Saturday (June 7) and will remain on view through July 26 at the Art Center Gallery (Saratoga Arts, 320 Broadway, Saratoga Springs). There will be a discussion with the artist on June 14 at 4:30 PM, followed by an artist reception from 5 to 7 PM with a DJ, hors d’oeuvres and craft beer. For more info, call the gallery at 584-4132.
