Cornell’s, 39-45 North Jay St., Schenectady, 370-3825. A longtime favorite has moved to new quarters as part of Schenectady’s new Little Italy; the food is as excellent as ever. Serving lunch Tue-Fri 11:30-2, dinner Tue-Thu 5-9:30, Fri 5-10, Sat 4-10:30, Sun 4-9:30. AE, MC, V.

Lippera’s Bistro, 25 Hudson Ave., Chatham, 392-6200. Chef Kenneth Lammer offers a menu of classic Italian dishes along with other continental favorites, like excellent Wiener schnitzel and brasciole. Homemade burgers in the tavern, too! Serving lunch Thu-Tue from 11:30, dinner Mon-Tue, Thu 5-9:30, Fri 5-10:30, Sat 3-10:30, Sun 3-9. Brunch Sun 9-3. AE, MC, V.

Michael’s Restaurant, 4465 Route 30, Amsterdam, 842-7399. Fine continental dining with a touch of Italian, with terrific steak and seafood dishes. Open Mon-Tue 4-close, Wed-Sun 11:30-close. AE, D, MC, V.

Bourbon Street, 2209 Central Ave., Colonie, 382-1110. The jambalaya is terrific, as are the chicken wings in this mixed-menu tavern that also offers pizza, burgers, salads and lots of fried stuff. Serving Mon-Fri 11 AM-3 AM, Sat 3-3, Sun (during football season) 1 PM-3 AM. AE, D, MC, V.

Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant, 1536 Crescent Rd., Clifton Park, 383-2930. Better-than-average south-of-the-border fare, with large platters and low prices. Serving lunch Mon-Fri 11-2:30, dinner Mon-Thu 5-10, Fri 5-10:30, Sat noon-10:30, Sun noon-9. AE, MC, V.

Aegean Breeze, 327 Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington, Mass., (413) 528-4001; Europa Cafe, 389 Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington, Mass., (413) 528-9085. Chef George Cami serves up fresh, authentic Greek cuisine in two different guises. At Europa, it’s more casual, featuring brunch and lunch items that include omelets, burgers and assorted mezedes. At the dinner-only Aegean, you’ll find charcoal-grilled fish and meats, traditional Greek faves like keftedes and loukaniko, and fresh pastas, all redolent of quality olive oil, lemons and fresh herbs. Aegean Breeze serving dinner Thu-Tue 5-9:30, closed Wed (open seven days July-August); Europa Cafe serving lunch and dinner 11-9 daily. AE, MC, V.
